BHappy 4th of July

EACH giant corporation has more rights than
every single American, except the super-rich:

Money buys access to elected officials. The
super-rich and giant corporations have more
of it than all the rest of us combined.

And access means influence. So do campaign
contributions. Guess who can donate the most
money for campaigns - you, or Exxon/Mobil?

The Supreme court has equated the spending of
money with the freedom of speech.* Which means
the super-rich have more rights than the rest
of us. So much for 'equal under the law.'

Corporations have ALL the rights of persons
and virtually NONE of the responsibilities.

Money is property. Spending money is a choice
    one makes regarding one's property.

Corporations are NOT persons! They are property.
They do not need nor deserve any rights of
    personhood.

The courts created the fiction of corporations
as legal persons. What kind of vile human beings
would give that right to organizations that
by their very nature are morally bankrupt?
The ONLY obligation any corporation has is to
make money. Their ONLY sin is to NOT make
money, their only crime is to lose money.

Perhaps that is why the Founding Fathers had a
    powerful distrust of them.

The government 'of the people, for the people,
by the people' has become 'of the people, by the
    lawyers, for the super-rich'.

If the Founding Fathers could have known what
was going to be done to the Republic they built
    they would've included prohibitions against
granting such status to corporations and explicitly
stated that spending money is not an expression
    of freedom of speech.

Either that or they would've said "Fuck it!"
and remained loyal to King George.

Happy Fourth of July and enjoy your delusions
of freedom. Please don't choke on a hotdog.
