Bob was poor. He had no money. But the Government paid
his rent.
The Government gave him food stamps. The Government paid his
water bill and his electric bill, too! The Government even paid
for his medical insurance.
It was right and fair for the Government to help him because he
was less fortunate. They say so and so it is.
One day, someone knocked on Bob's door. It was an old friend of
his. The friend offered him a job. It would pay $1,000 a week!
Bob was happy and accepted the offer.
Bob worked hard. He was a very good worker. When pay-day came he
was very happy. "I can buy so much with $1,000!" he said. Then he
looked at his paycheck. $56.67!
"What happened to all my money?" he said.
"The Government took it," his friend told him "to pay the rent
and water and electric bills and to buy food stamps and medical
insurance for the less fortunate."
It is right and fair for the Government to take Bob's money to
help the less fortunate. They say so and so it is.
Bob couldn't pay his rent. He couldn't afford to buy much food.
He couldn't pay his water bill or his electric bill, either! He
had no medical insurance.
Bob got very weak from malnutrition. He smelled bad, too, because
he couldn't take a bath. He couldn't work hard and was now a bad
worker. So his friend fired him.
Now, Bob is poor again. But the Government pays his rent.
The Government gives him food stamps. The Government pays his
water bill and his electric bill, too! The Government even pays
for his medical insurance.
It is right and fair for the Government to help him because he
is less fortunate. They say so and so it is.
One day another friend knocked on Bob's door. He offered Bob another
job. It would pay $2,000 a week!
Bob told him to go fuck himself and slammed the door.
